People with respiratory or heart-related conditions need to limit outdoor time and avoid strenuous activities today due to elevated ground ozone and Canadian wildfire smoke causing air quality to become unhealthy for those individuals.
Use caution today! Lower Hudson Valley air quality is unfortunately going to be a bit more reduced today compared to yesterday. This will improve into the weekend.
Otherwise, plan for a summer-like feel today with afternoon temperatures in the mid to upper 80s along with noticeable humidity. There can be an isolated pop-up shower this afternoon or tonight, but most of the day is dry.
Temperatures drop several degrees tomorrow - down into the lower 80s. There is a better chance for you to need an umbrella from time to time tomorrow with a couple of passing rain showers.
Father's Day Weekend is still not looking great, but neither day is a complete washout. At this time, it looks like Saturday morning is wetter than Saturday afternoon and evening. So, plan on steadier showers in the morning on Saturday and just a few spotty light showers in the afternoon. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with just a couple of showers passing and highs down to around 70 degrees.
As we approach the official start of summer next Friday night, temperatures will spike back into the 80s starting next Wednesday. There are no major storm days on the horizon at this time.
Have a nice Thursday and please take it easy in the reduced air quality!
