Erin is accelerating away from the East Coast as of Friday evening, moving to the east-northeast at 28 mph. Despite Erin's eagerness to allude beach badge checkers at the Jersey Shore, there is still a bit of energy in the ocean.
There is some minor coastal flooding expected during high tide tonight. However, it is not expected to be as eye-catching as it was Thursday night or Friday morning but parking your car in a drier spot until Saturday is advisable. Wave heights will be fading some, but undertows and rip currents will still be a problem for Saturday. It is going to be beautiful out for those who are planning a beach day. Swimming in front of the lifeguard stand is also advisable for Saturday.
The winds will still be a bit breezy for Saturday, but the wind direction and lots of sun will help warm the air back to where it should be this time of year.
Clouds slowly cruise in from the west on Sunday. It will not be a terrible day, with a few more clouds in the sky as a weather system moves in. There is a small chance for showers much later in the day on Sunday. The best opportunity for weather will be Monday morning.
