The two
barges stuck in West Haven remain there as of Saturday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard says.
At 8 a.m., a salvage team attempted to pull the two barges from their location on Annawon Avenue.
Officials say the lower-than-normal tide and heavy winds impacted the crews' ability to remove the barges.
Efforts to remove them are still underway and the next planned attempted is at 8 p.m. Saturday, which is near the next high tide.
