Things will warm up nicely with highs getting close to 80° this afternoon. Enjoy it while it lasts because the real heat is just around the corner.
By Thursday, we’re talking about temps soaring to near 90°, and that heat is going to fuel some potentially strong storms. A sharp cold front will move through, bringing the chance for several strong to severe thunderstorms. Expect gusty winds, lots of lightning, and heavy downpours—so definitely keep an eye on the forecast.
Friday marks the official start of summer, and the weather is going to match the mood. It’ll feel like full-on summer all weekend and into next week.
In fact, next week’s heat could be intense and stick around for a while—we might even be looking at our first heatwave of the year. Feels-like temps could hit the mid-90s on Thursday and climb toward 100° next week. So, stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay weather-aware!
