        STORM WATCH: Snow Sunday followed by brutal cold in Brooklyn

        Following the snow, another blast of bitter cold air, the coldest of the season so far is expected through the week.

        A storm system is expected to bring multiple inches of snowfall throughout the region. Snow totals can push more toward 8 inches if the heavy band of snow sets up in the evening as guidance suggests. If the rain/snow mix lingers into the early evening, then we could see totals being closer to the 4 inches mark.
        If you are traveling, be prepared for travel conditions to be poor. Following the snow, another blast of bitter cold air, the coldest of the season so far is expected through the week. Temperatures in the teens and low 20s, with feel-like temperatures in the single digits near zero or below. So be prepared for pipe bursting cold next week. With these plummeting temperatures, be cautious of icy streets and sidewalks on Monday and next week of any leftover snow.
        OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy, cold and dry. Lows in the low 30s.
        SUNDAY: Dry start, snow beginning in the afternoon. Steady snowfall with periods of heavy snow in the evening. Highs in the middle to upper 30s. Lows in the teens.
        MONDAY: Sunny, very cold and breezy. Highs in the middle 20s. Lows in the single digits.
        TUESDAY: Very cold, sun and clouds with afternoon flurries possible. Highs in the teens. Lows in the teens.
        WEDNESDAY: Still very cold, sun and clouds and dry. Highs near 20 degrees. Lows in the single digits.
