Prepare for more winter weather in the region. Expect mainly light snowfall that will begin in the morning before daybreak and continue into the early afternoon.
The light snow will likely accumulate 1-3 inches, with higher amounts of 3-6 inches possible for areas northwest and in higher elevations.
The snow will transition to rain for areas closer to the sound and the city. Prepare for icy, slippery and hazardous road conditions throughout the day. The snow will end near 4-5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day will be back in the 40s, windy on Wednesday and dry with less wind on Thursday.
More clouds will lead to our next system that has a chance to bring more snow to the region by Friday. Stay with us as we monitor the next storm very closely.

TUESDAY: Light snow steadily through the morning and early afternoon before mixing with some rain for areas near the sound and the city. Expected snow accumulations are 1-3 inches. Highs will be in the upper 30s. Lows in the 30s.
WEDNESDAY (CHRISTMAS EVE): Sunshine and clouds mixing in the skies, it will be windy with gusts near 30 mph. Seasonable high temperatures, but wind chill values will be in the 20s and 30s. Highs in the low 40s. Lows in the upper 20s.
THURSDAY (CHRISTMAS DAY): Mostly cloudy, calm, and quiet with less wind. Highs in the low 40s. Lows in the mid-20s.
FRIDAY: Cloudy, colder, and a chance for snow showers. Highs in the low 30s. Lows in the mid-20s.
