The second wave of snow is on the way for Saturday night in Connecticut, it will be a fast-moving storm but could drop moderate to locally heavy snow.
It will be colder on Saturday night with lows in the upper 20s during the duration of the storm. With temperatures just under freezing, the snow will be a bit fluffier than what we just had Thursday. Roads will become slippery with all snow, and it could add up quickly closer to midnight.
Snowfall rates could go as high at one to two inches per hour during the early overnight hours, tapering some by sunrise on Sunday.
Southwestern Fairfield County may see approximately three to 6 inches and the rest of the viewing area could pick up six to nine inches of snow.
The storm will move out early Sunday and the weather will gradually clear. Temperatures will rise above freezing during the day and this will help with the cleanup.
