With another round of snow and ice headed toward the city this weekend, Bronx residents are stocking up on essentials.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for New York City this weekend.
It was a busy afternoon at the Stop & Shop in Bay Plaza. Shoppers were filling their grocery carts for Super Bowl weekend but also adding extra items to be prepared for the winter storm.
Snow and ice are expected to arrive Saturday evening into Sunday morning. A travel advisory was issued for the evening of Feb. 8 through Feb. 9.
"I'm not excited, and I am not looking for it," said Virginia Hinton, of Baychester.
The Office of Emergency Management says it is monitoring the potential for snow again Tuesday night into Wednesday.
"We got to deal with it because we are in New York," said Vincente Sanitago, of Baychester.
