HEAT ALERT: Temps feel like over 100 today, thunderstorms possible

Today is the hottest and perhaps most humid day of the week with heat index temperatures soaring to 100 or 105 degrees.

It's another hot and muggy day in the Garden State, but some great weather is on the way for the end of the week.
There's rain to talk about for part of the weekend though.
Today is the hottest and perhaps most humid day of the week with heat index temperatures soaring to 100 or 105 degrees.
Noticeable relief is on the way for tomorrow and the low humidity will linger into Saturday. Unfortunately, there is some rain to watch out for this weekend, beginning late Saturday evening and lingering on and off through Sunday.
Beyond Sunday there's a surprising number of comfortable days in the forecast.
FORECAST:
Today: Hot and humid
A thunderstorm is expected this morning, then a pop-up storm is possible in the mid to late afternoon. Highs in the mid-90s, feels like 105.
Friday: Less humid, more sun
Temperatures are in the mid-80s. It's beautiful!
Saturday: Nice start, then evening storms
Most of the day looks dry, but there could be a few storms in the evening. Highs in the mid-80s.
Sunday: Hot, humid, stormy
Temperatures once again soar to near 90 with heat index values close to 100. It's not a washout, but there will be a few storms.
Early next week: Low humidity & more sun
A break from the rain and the humidity next Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures are only in the low- to mid-80s!
