Heat relief on its way to the Hudson Valley

An approaching cold front will remove the bulk of the humidity for Friday. It will slowly return through the weekend though.

As the cold front passes by, the humidity levels will be noticeably felt to be going down Friday. There will also be a northerly breeze coming down, helping to keep the air feeling pleasant throughout much of the day.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

We can expect mostly sunny skies and seasonal temperatures. The pick of the week was going to be Saturday, but it had to be moved to Friday. Friday looks to be more ideal to be out and about, although both days will be good.

Saturday has a gradual buildup of humidity, but it is just moving up from the low levels (for this time of year) on Friday. There will also be a mix of sun and clouds with a shower chance arriving late in the day.

Sunday sees the rain showers along with spotty storms come and go through the day as a system approaches the area. It will clear out Sunday night, allowing next week to start off on a great note!

Monday looks to be another pick of the week with sunny skies, seasonal temps, comfy levels of humidity and no rain in sight. Sadly, we'll see the humidity levels rise through the week, as the temperatures get warmer. The second half of the week could have many locations getting into the low 90s. But at least the shower chances next week are very low to none.

FRIDAY: PICK OF THE WEEK - Mostly sunny with lowered humidity, a pleasant and dry breeze and seasonal temperatures. Highs: low to mid-80s. Lows: low to mid-60s.

SATURDAY: Morning showers are possible but then sun and clouds and a buildup of humidity through the day. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: upper 60s to low 70s.

SUNDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Mostly cloudy with scattered shower and storm chances. Humidity will return briefly. Highs: low 80s. Lows: mid to upper 60s.

MONDAY: PICK OF THE WEEK - Mainly sunny, feeling pleasant. Highs: low to mid-80s. Lows: low to mid-60s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs: low to mid-80s. Lows: mid-60s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: upper 60s to low 70s.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny and warming up. Highs: upper 80s to low 90s. Lows: upper 60s to low 70s.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs: upper 80s to low 90s. Lows: low to mid-70s.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered storms. Highs: upper 80s. Lows: upper 60s to low 70s.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny with a chance of an afternoon storm popping up. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: upper 60s to low 70s.
