A slow-moving nor'easter will continue to impact western Connecticut, bringing increasing rain and gusty winds to much of the region. The rain turns steadier and heavier, and the wind strengthens even more. Gusts could top 40 mph overnight.
Temperatures will hold near the mid-50s as the storm continues to spin offshore, with a half- to three-quarters of an inch of rain possible by daybreak.
Monday will stay wet and windy, with rain continuing through much of the day and another round of gusts near 45 mph. Temperatures will once again stay in the low 60s. Periods of rain will continue into Monday night before tapering off toward Tuesday morning.
By Tuesday, the nor'easter begins to pull away, but a few lingering showers are possible early in the day. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, and it'll stay breezy with highs in the mid-60s. Conditions gradually improve Tuesday night as skies clear and winds ease.
The rest of the week looks much calmer. Sunshine returns Wednesday with highs near the low 60s, followed by cooler, crisp air late week. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s Thursday through Saturday, with chilly nights dipping into the 40s.
