WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

A large low pressure system will move towards the Hudson Valley tonight.

It is a good day to sweep up loose leaves around the yard before it arrives.

There will be two rounds of rain; one in the morning and one in the afternoon to evening hours. The morning rush could be more heavily impacted by moderate to heavy rain.

Gusty winds could reach 40 mph, which could blow around Halloween decorations and other loose items.

Flooding is possible in low-lying areas, especially in Westchester and Rockland counties.

Rain tapers off overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Halloween is mainly dry but gusty winds will linger.

Daylight saving time ends Sunday morning, where the clocks "fall back" at 2 a.m. and we get an extra hour of sleep.
