Several state troopers were reassigned after allegations involving conduct inside a state office building on Capitol Avenue in Hartford.

The allegations involve consensual relationships between three state troopers and a private security employee, according to a letter from Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Commissioner Ronnell Higgins.

One trooper is accused of engaging in sexual activity inside the state building, the letter states.

All three troopers were reassigned, and one was also placed on administrative leave as the matter continues, the commissioner said.

An internal affairs investigation is ongoing.
