2h agoThe Merritt Parkway in Trumbull has reopened after closing for several hours Friday morning for a single car accident.
State police say shortly before 4 a.m. a motorist veered off the road in the area of Exit 47 and collided with a tree.
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
