Police say a Southbury man is facing several charges for making a threat against Coleytown Elementary School in Westport in November.
Christopher Iannacone was arrested on Wednesday while appearing at Stamford Superior Court. Police say he is incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Police say on Nov. 3, Iannacone
sent a text to 911 around 7:30 a.m. saying he would blow up the school.
The threat caused the school to be delayed and buses to be rerouted. Anyone at the school at the time had to be evacuated.
During the incident, Coleytown Middle School issued a shelter-in-place.
Police say no explosives were found.
Iannacone told police his phone had been hacked, but they later determined that he sent the threatening message.
His charges include threatening, falsely reporting an incident and misuse of the emergency 911 system.
