Rain continues through Friday. A flood watch has been posted for Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties through early Saturday.
Another 1-3 inches of rain will fall in a short period of time, and this will run off into the streams, creeks and rivers. Watch for rises on those going into the weekend.
Temperatures will stay cooler today with highs barely making it out of the 50s.
Winds will come onshore and pick up to 10-15 mph. This will keep temperatures down in the upper 50s to near 60 all through the day. The winds will usher in cooler air late Friday and into Saturday.
The weather will gradually improve on Saturday. With the added sunshine, temperatures will rise into the upper 60s.
Sunday for Mother's Day looks the warmest and the better half of the weekend with highs in the 70s.
