Single-engine plane crashes at Candlelight Farms Airport in New Milford

A single-engine plane crashed at Candlelight Farms Airport in New Milford Friday, police say.
Police received a 911 call regarding the crash at 7:46 p.m.
Police, fire and EMS responded to the scene. No one was injured.
It's not clear how many people were on aboard, where the plane originated from or what its destination was. Police also did not provide information on what caused the plane to crash.
The Connecticut Airport Authority said they were aware of the incident and that the Federal Aviation Administration was also informed.
Police said the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
When News 12 reached out to the FAA, the agency sent the following response:
"Due to a lapse in funding, the FAA is not responding to routine media inquiries."
The NTSB replied to News 12's inquiry with a similar message, "During the lapse in appropriations, we will not be able to respond to all inquiries. We will issue written statements announcing new investigations and other agency information."
