An Allerton mother is demanding justice after her 11-year-old daughter was brutally attacked while walking her dog after school.
Surveillance video shows a group of young people surrounding the girl, throwing her to the ground and repeatedly punching her, even kicking her 3-month-old puppy.
A bystander eventually rushed in to stop the attack.
The girl, who has epilepsy, suffered a seizure during the assault and was taken to Jacobi Hospital. The young girl also suffered several injuries to her face and body.
Her mother says she had previously gone to the school district twice requesting a safety transfer for her daughter after earlier threats from the same group.
"She doesn't want to go back. She’s panicking. She’s traumatized. She was crying all night,” her mother told News 12.
Police are still searching for the group seen in the video and no arrests have been made.
The family says a safety transfer was approved by the school district but until charges are filed, their daughter will not feel safe again.
