Tensions are growing on Capital Hill over the United States’ action in Iran.

Lawmakers including Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal believe the White House is not being open about the true price of the war.

"Just as the Trump administration is lowballing the economic costs of the Iran war, now we are learning that it is under counting the deaths and casualties, very likely, according to reports -- and as a member of the Armed Services Committee, I am going to be demanding facts,” he said.

Officials from the Trump administration have yet to respond to the claims.

Blumenthal says his committee plans to start a full review seeking answers.
