Save the Sound's report on safe swimming conditions along the North Shore of Long Island revealed that many beaches are trending in the right direction.
Four beaches received A+ ratings, including Kenney's Beach, McCabe's Beach, Reeves Beach and Ransom Beach.
More than 30 of Long Island's beaches got a grade of A- or higher.
However, over 20 got a grade of C+ or lower, so officials say there's still work to do.
