Foxwoods Resort Casino will be the new home to Sally's Apizza flagship restaurant.

Sally's Apizza was founded in New Haven by Sally Consiglio in 1938 and is known for its handcrafted pizzas with a distinctive flavor.

Foxwoods officials say they are committed to keeping the pizza's distinctive flavor and plan on bringing in water from New Haven to ensure the recipe stays authentic as possible.

They say that it made a lot of sense to partner with Sally's Apizza because they think it's the best pizza in the country and Foxwoods sees itself as the best integrated gaming destination in the United States.

The opening of Sallys Apizza is planned for next year.
