Drivers in Spring Valley are still facing a major traffic change, but the start of a bridge shutdown has been pushed back.
Village leaders say the Route 59 bridge over Pascack Road will be closed for several months.
The project was originally scheduled to begin Tuesday, but officials now say work will start June 3. No reason has been given yet for the delay,
The closure will allow state workers to replace several parts of the bridge and complete repairs.
The project is expected to run through the summer and wrap up before Labor Day.
Officials say detours will be posted during construction.
Businesses in the area will remain open.
