In Soundview, drivers told News 12 they are taking precautions while traveling to holiday gatherings with family and friends despite the cold and rainy conditions. Many said they are checking road conditions before leaving home and driving more cautiously because of the weather.
AAA says preparation can go a long way during a busy travel weekend, including checking gas levels, making sure vehicles are road-ready and giving yourself extra time to arrive safely.
