A massive piece of American history in Camden is offering visitors a chance to step inside the Battleship New Jersey as it continues to serve as a floating museum.
Anchored along the Delaware River, the ship has welcomed visitors for 25 years. The landmark stands as a tribute to the men and moments that shaped American history.
Marshall Spevak, CEO of the Battleship New Jersey, said the museum opens more of the ship than any other museum vessel in the country.
He said the tour spans more than a mile and a half across three separate routes, giving visitors the chance to explore the ship for an entire day.
The Battleship New Jersey is the most decorated battleship in United States Navy history, serving in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf.
Spevak said the goal now is to protect the ship and preserve its history.
