The risk of brushfires in the Bronx continues today and into the weekend.
According to the FDNY, the Bronx has seen dozens of brush fires over the past couple of weeks. One broke out right across the river earlier this week. The effects of that fire were felt in the Marble Hill section of the Bronx, as those flames scurries through Inwood Hill Park clouds of smoke filled the neighboring Marble Hill area.
According to the FDNY, at least 67 brushfires have broken out in the Bronx over the last two weeks as of Wednesday. The latest one happening Tuesday in front of a warehouse in Parkchester.
This all comes as New York City deals with a historic streak of dry weather. The city is also reminding New Yorkers to cut down their water usage as we deal with these drought conditions.
