Crews responded to a fire on Buena Vista Avenue in Spring Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
It broke out shortly before 4:20 pm on the back side of the house. Hillcrest Fire Department was first to respond, Spring Valley, New City, and Nanuet assisted.
Fire officials tell News 12 that everyone inside the house was able to make it out safely.
One Hillcrest firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene.
It took crews about 25 minutes to get the fire under control. Crews then began checking for hot spots.
The Red Cross told News 12 that they will be assisting those displaced.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
