The Rockland Sheriff's Office received a call about a mother giving birth in Garnerville, prompting radio operator Chakiera Locust to spring into action.
Locust coached the caller and mother through the delivery, providing critical guidance and support.
Thanks to Locust's expertise, the baby was successfully brought into the world.
The newborn and mother were transported to a hospital via ambulance, where they received further care.
