We are joined in this episode by a member of the president's Cabinet as President Donald Trump's marks his first year in office this term. Lee Zeldin was one of Trump's first Cabinet picks. The former New York gubernatorial candidate and congressman from Long Island is now head of the Environmental Protection Agency. His tenure has already featured significant shifts from the Biden administration's policies.
Four years ago, Zeldin was the Republican candidate for governor in New York. His campaign performed better than any Republican since Gov. George Pataki, but he still fell short to current Gov. Kathy Hochul. So how are the Trump administration's policies impacting New Yorkers? And what about state projects like congestion pricing?
Zeldin also opened up about his health scare last month, when he was treated for basal cell carcinoma.
