Just days after Gov. Mikie Sherrill took the oath of office to become New Jersey’s 57th governor, she invited News 12 into her office for a sit-down interview.
Sherrill and News 12’s Eric Landskroner discussed a variety of topics, including the two executive orders she signed during her inauguration to address utility costs.
“Not only are we going to provide credits so that people aren't paying more because we've frozen rate hikes, but we've also said…’No more rate case increases,’” Sherill said.
Sherill and Landskroner also discussed working with Republican lawmakers and the late Gov. Richard Codey, who was lying in state at the New Jersey State House on Thursday.
