Polls are open in Hoboken and Jersey City for two mayoral races today.
In Jersey City, Councilman James Solomon faces former Governor Jim McGreevy, who resigned in scandal two decades ago. The race in New Jersey's second-largest city has focused on the high cost of housing.
In Hoboken, Council members Emily Jabbour and Michael Russo are competing. Jabbour calls herself a problem-solver, while Russo, the longest-serving councilman in Hoboken history, says public safety is a priority.
Polls close at 8 p.m.
