Finding yourself sneezing? Dealing with itchy or watery eyes? You're likely not alone.
Long Island is in the middle of a stretch of high tree pollen levels and the impact on people's seasonal allergies is hard to ignore.
Dr. Sherry Farzan, an allergist with Northwell Health, says that the best defense against seasonal allergies is to start taking daily allergy medication as early as late February.
As for the pollen, she advises wearing hats and sunglasses outdoors to limit pollen getting onto your face, and as soon as you return home, remove any shoes or clothing and take a shower to wash away any pollen.
