April will mark the 50th anniversary of Operation Babylift.
In commemoration of the anniversary, former Vietnamese orphans who were rescued from Vietnam were reunited with the people who helped in the humanitarian evacuation back in 1975.
They held a celebratory event at the Cradle of Aviation Museum to pay tribute to Operation Babylift, and the support of Pan Am airlines that airlifted thousands of orphaned children out of Vietnam.
They children were adopted by American families and other families from around the world.
"They rescued us from Vietnam at the time the government plan was to kill all of us to get rid of the American influence once the war was over. Operation Babylift saved us, explained Thuy Williams, of Maryland.
It's estimated that "Operation Babylift" saved some 3,300 Vietnamese orphans under former President Gerald Ford.
