The woman who was caught on a video climbing over the fence near the tiger enclosure at the Cohanzick Zoo last week was identified as 24-year-old Zyair Dennis.
The Bridgeton Police Department says Dennis entered the restricted areas of both the tiger and the bear enclosures, close enough for the big cat to nearly bite her before she walked away and hopped back over the fence.
Dennis was charged with trespassing and given two ordinances from climbing fences within a zoo.
There is a sign posted for visitors that reads "Climbing on any zoo fence is against city ordinance 247."
According to the zoo's website, this is one of two Bengal tigers born in 2016 that were donated to the zoo from North Carolina.
