        Police: Vandals defaced restaurants, 9/11 memorial at Tobay Beach; 2 arrested

        Detectives say Tayyab Muhammed, of South Farmingdale, and a male teen spray painted two restaurants, a concession stand, bathhouse, 9/11 memorial wall and bathrooms.

        Police say two people have been arrested, accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage at Tobay Beach.
        Detectives say Tayyab Muhammed, of South Farmingdale, and a male teen spray painted the Boatyard Restaurant, men and women bathrooms, a concession stand, The Surf Shack restaurant, the West Bathhouse and the 911 Memorial Wall.
        News 12 has been told it caused about $3,500 in damages.
        The two were charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti.
