Police say a 47-year-old man was confronted and then robbed by two unidentified men while traveling on Evergreen and Wakefield Avenue at 11 p.m. on Jan. 3. The two men took off on foot southbound on Evergreen Avenue with the victims' phone and watch: totaling up to $2,100.
Police have now released surveillance photos of the suspected robbers, describing one of the men as last seen wearing all black clothing, and the other donning a black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
"I live in this area for almost 5 years now, and then I'm just finding out someone has been robbed," says Grace Ansah. "I feel like this area it not too secure now."
Police are now urging anyone in the community with information to come forward and make the call to the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
