        Police: Man critically injured after being ejected from car on Southern State Parkway

        Police say 54-year-old Seamus Maloney, of Massapequa Park, was driving a 2002 Ford when it crossed all three lanes, causing it to overturn.

        A driver was critically injured when he was ejected from his vehicle Sunday on the Southern State Parkway, police say.
        It happened at around 8 p.m. on the parkway going westbound near Exit 31.
        Police say 54-year-old Seamus Maloney, of Massapequa Park, was driving a 2002 Ford when it crossed all three lanes, causing it to overturn.
        Maloney was ejected from the car, sustaining serious injuries. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
        The westbound lanes of the parkway were closed, and traffic was diverted to Route 110.
