Police looking for group responsible for cellphone thefts throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan

Images released by the NYPD show multiple people wanted in connection to multiple phone-snatchings.
The first incident was reported on Aug. 4 in Williamsburg along Bedford Avenue.
Authorities say that at 1:30 a.m., a 30-year-old man was approached by the group of people, and they asked if they could use his cellphone. They grabbed the phone and ran.
The thieves used the same ruse six more times to steal cellphones throughout Williamsburg and Manhattan. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
