        Police: Bus driver recovers after violent attack on duty

        Police tell News 12 that a man got onto the bus and repeatedly hit the driver's head against the bus partition.

        A bus driver is recovering from a violent on-duty attack in the Bronx.
        Police tell News 12 a BX8 bus was parked on E. 226th St. and White Plains Road yesterday morning, when a man got onto the bus and repeatedly hit the bus driver's head against the bus partition.
        Officials have confirmed that the bus driver was on duty when this attack happened. They also say she was rushed to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
