A Bridgeport man is facing multiple charges after he was found with an illegal loaded firearm Wednesday, police say.
Kyeshon Leven King was stopped by an officer at the intersection of State Street and Lafayette Boulevard around 10:45 p.m. while driving erratically.
Police say they found a 9 mm Glock with a 40-round, high-capacity magazine inside King's waistband. There was also a live round in the chamber of the firearm with an altered serial number.
King's charges include carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal alteration of a firearm and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
King's bond was set at $65,000, and he was expected to be arraigned Thursday.
