3ds agoPolice say a person on a bike was taken to the hospital after a car struck them Saturday morning in Plainview.
Detectives say it happened on Old Country Road just after 8:30 a.m.
The road was closed heading east between Santa Barbara Drive and East Bethpage Road for about three and a half hours. It has since reopened.
Police say the person who was riding the bike suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
