HEAT ALERT: Summer shows off with extreme temperatures in New Jersey

Extreme heat advisories are posted through Wednesday for most of the state.

Summer claims its stake on New Jersey and delivers extreme heat and humidity. The heat index starting tomorrow will be above 100 degrees through next week. The heat index may climb to 105-110 degrees at its highest.
Temperatures starting tomorrow will climb even more. Expect to see temperatures in the upper 90s. Monday and Tuesday could have high temperatures in the triple digits. The humidity on both days will be very high and create hazardous conditions for New Jersey residents.
The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning through Wednesday.
There is a slight risk of some decaying showers and thunderstorms up north tomorrow morning, but most areas stay dry.
The air quality is also poor. There is an air quality alert starting tomorrow for many counties.
No relief until the end of next week. There is a risk of some thunderstorms by Thursday.
