        Police activity snarls traffic on Hutchinson River Parkway

        Harrison police say it’s an ongoing investigation and have been at the scene since about 1:30 p.m.

        Traffic is moving slowly on the Hutchinson River Parkway near Lincoln Avenue and Purchase Street due to police activity in the area.
        Police were seen searching the roads near the northbound lanes of the parkway.
        Police say a blue Mercedes-Benz got crashed with another vehicle, and that the driver of the Mercedes, got out of the car and ran away. Officials have not confirmed who they are searching for or what sparked the investigation.
        Harrison police say it’s an ongoing investigation and have been at the scene since about 1:30 p.m. Westchester County police, along with Harrison police are surveying the area.
        The investigation led to the temporary lockout of the Blind Brook School District. The lockout has since been lifted.
        Officials have not released a description of the driver and are using K-9 units to help find me.
