1h agoA 63-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car Friday evening in St. James.
Police say Anna Lopresti was hit around 6:45 p.m. as she crossed Middle Country Road near White Avenue.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries.
The driver was not injured in the crash, but their car was impounded.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police.
