An overnight triple shooting in Longwood has left three people dead, according to the NYPD.
Police say shots rang out at 613 Southern Blvd. after 8 p.m. Three people were found dead, and police sources say one of them was found outside next to a day care.
A 57-year-old woman was shot in the head and a 57-year-old man was shot multiple times throughout his body. Both were pronounced dead at the scene and inside of the home. Investigators say a 34-year-old man was shot in the head, who police sources say was found outside. He was rushed to the NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced dead.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting. One gun was recovered at the scene.
Neighbors calling the triple shooting in Longwood a murder-suicide. They say they believe the 34-year-old son killed his parents inside the home and then took his own life in the front yard.
News 12 is still waiting for police confirmation on this.
A day care center located next door was closed Thursday following Wednesday night's shooting.
The names of the deceased have not been released.
