        Police: 1 dead in Canarsie stabbing incident

        Police say they got a call to East 81st Street in Canarsie just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night for reports of a woman who was stabbed.

        Police say a 47-year-old woman is dead and a teenage boy was injured in a Canarsie stabbing.
        Police say they got a call to East 81st Street in Canarsie just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night for reports of a woman who was stabbed.
        When they arrived they said the woman had stab wounds to her neck and stomach and a 15-year-old boy had cuts on his hand.
        The boy is expected to be OK but police say the woman died from her injuries.
        Police have identified the woman as 47-year-old Antoinette Stewart-Gordon.
        Police say the incident happened inside her home.
        Sources close to the investigation tell News 12 the two victims were mother and son.
        Police say this is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to give them a call.
