4h agoOne person is dead following a crash in Easton Saturday.
Police say a two car accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on Route 58 south of Center Road.
Upon their arrival, officers found one vehicle on fire and the other seriously damaged.
Easton firefighters extinguished the fire, while EMS EMS transported one person to the hospital.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Their identity has not be released.
The Fairfield Police Crash Investigation Unit is conducting the investigation, with assistance from Monroe EMS and Wilton Police.
Route 58 was closed for several hours.
