The FDNY and emergency medical units responded to a fire at a six-story apartment building in Allerton.
The call for the fire came in just before 1 p.m., according to officials. They say three people suffered injuries in the fire.
News 12 spoke with Deputy Chief James Sangiamo, who says the fire broke out in an apartment on the sixth floor of the building. He said one of the three people who suffered injuries was found in that unit and is in critical condition.
Another civilian and a firefighter also suffered minor injuries.
The fire was put out by 2 p.m.
