Richard York of Patchogue Shoes is closing its doors. The business has served the Patchogue community since 1927.
"We been in the footwear business for three generations," says owner Richard Siegel.
On Thursday, the iconic store will be holding a storewide sale for the community.
Siegel tells News 12, he's closing his family business after 96 years to retire.
My family has been asking me to retire for years, I believe it's time to spend more time with them," explained Siegel.
The retirement closeout could take several weeks for all the merchandise in the store to be sold.
