We fall back into News 12 as we are in Bloomfield this morning. Yeah, Lauren do is previewing their restaurant week that starts Sunday and Lauren, I know it's like 615 in the morning. But are you making your first stop at a brewery? Yes. I, they're already poured this morning. But first, we have to talk to Owen from the Bloomfield Center Alliance and you just want to welcome us here this morning. Yeah. Thank you so much, Lauren. Welcome to Bloomfield Center and thank you for helping us promote our upcoming restaurant Week here in Bloom Fiel Center, highlighting the many great restaurants that are here, including Vitas Brew works, who is recently opened and our first, uh, time participant in the restaurant Week. We have Mark and Neil here. The co-owner of Vitas brew works and they're going to tell us about their special. Yeah. So our special is around community because that's why we decided to come down here. There's a very big symbiotic relationship with us and our great restaurants down here. So, on Friday and Saturday, if you pop into the brewery first and get a big crawler to go, it's 15% off and you can enjoy it at our friends restaurants across the street and throughout the downtown. That's great. And talk about what you have here because this is a popular spot. Yeah. So we're just about to hit our one year anniversary here and we started our can portfolio. We are a soccer brewery here. So we just brewed a beer with New Jersey, soccer legend Giuseppe Rossi. He's coming down here, September 23rd for an autograph session and beer release party. So we have our Italian Pilsner and we do a great Sangria Hard Seltzer as well. And our flagship Chuck Pilsner and Neil, anything else you would have had? You know, I just would reiterate what Mark said we're really here because of the sense of community. The train station is actually right behind us. There's five restaurants right on this very street that are participating uh in restaurant and it's really a great place to be. So come on down farm location and real quick and you just want to talk about October. So next month here in Bloomfield Center, we have our big Fall festival harvest fest uh tradition going on over 20 years and we invite the whole community to come down and just experience the great downtown that is Bloomfield Center so much going on and guess what? We fall back into news 12 as we go to Bloomfield this morning. Yeah, Lauren de is previewing their restaurant week that starts on Sunday. Lauren. I know it's only about 645. Well, you must have worked up an appetite. What restaurant are you at? Totally. So we're at Anthony's and I have Anthony here and you're known for your cheesecakes, but you also have food here too. So, what are you doing for restaurant week? So, restaurant week, we're doing a three course dinner menu. You'll get a selection of appetizers, a couple of entrees and of course our dessert cheesecake select the price go for, for all that. We're charging $35 per person and it's a three course dinner. So you can't beat it. That's great. You can't beat that deal and you can't beat this cheesecake. What, what flavors do you have? So we have a caramel pecan with sea salt. We have pumpkin, we have apple cider doughnut, which is new and this is a carrot cake, cheese cake. These are all four flavors. Ok. So which one do you recommend that? I try? I'm gonna try all of them, but which one. Should I try first? I'd go caramel, pecan. Carol will be good. Ok. So as I eat this, I love cheesecake. By the way, this is like the one thing that I will splurge on. But tell me about how long you've been in the community because you're a fixture here. Yeah. So we opened in 96 in another part of Bloomfield and we came here 14 years ago. So 28 years so far, it's been great. The community support is amazing. Why is it so good? It's great. I mean, the redevelopment helped us a lot and just new people moving in from different New York and Hoboken are coming this way. This is a food destination in Bloomfield. It's changed a lot since we opened. It is and your Instagram account is amazing too. So a lot of people love you and I love your cheesecake. I know all it wants a fork too. So we're going to toss it back and everyone's going to have to come down here. Come down. What's this one? The carrot cake? That's carrot cake, cheese cake. I'm going to eat them all. Bye guys. Fall back into news 12 as we go back to Bloomfield this morning, Lauren do is previewing their restaurant week that starts on Sunday. And Lauren, you've been doing things a little backwards this morning, you first went to a brewery, then you had dessert, then ST seafood and now at 745 having coffee. Ok. But Simon, this is what I'm so excited for because Tony was been here. Road trip has been here. Now I am here with, for having a bar. I mean, this is everyone knows this place because it's beautiful. It's an aesthetic here and the food, the drinks are just amazing. We try, we try. So what do you have coming up for Bloomfield center restaurant for Bloomfield Center Week. We have a special with our Wale flight. They're so good. You can't choose, right? So we created a flight with strawberries and cream. We have our Smores. It's perfect for the fall and then we have our bananas and cream if you ever like a banana. Um You know, lover, it's so good. So you don't have to choose. We'll give you all three, right? And you can pick your own. But not only will you get the flight but you can get this beautiful cappuccino with it for $12. That's what we have for restaurant week, right? So then we created the mini pancakes. These come in different flavors. We have banana strawberry, blueberry, whatever berry you want, whatever, just ask us, put it together for you and you can have this along with the drink of your choice. Coffee, uh, freshers that come with so many different flavors. They're so good. This one is a pucker. It is. But, um, you can have a cappuccino or a latte, whatever you want. We have it all for you. We have so much other stuff. So just come through, you might get flowers, you know. Yeah, you pick your own flowers about right? And you know what it is? Your birthday today. You guys want out for that happy birthday. It's so corny a to, ah, there are, hey, it, it can't get any better than you. It really can't. Thank you. We love that. Thank you. Well, fall back into News 12 as we go back this morning to Bloomfield News twelve's Lauren de is previewing their restaurant week that starts on Sunday. Lauren, you had coffee waffles, but now it looks like you're ready for lunch. Yeah. And there's like, it's a nice restaurant. There are wine glasses. We're sitting down, we have Olen with Bloomfield Center. Thank you so much for setting this all up for us. We have Frank Bua. We have Jennifer here and we're at Buco, right? You are so woody. What do you have going on for restaurant week? We have a three course menu here, which is $35 a person. Um, it's, it's, it's shortened a bit from our regular menu, but the portions are normal. It's, um, it's a, it's a very good menu actually. So good choice. It's a good mixture. And what food do we have here? Because this looks amazing. This arugula salad. Oh, that's our chicken Capriccios. So that's a chicken cut mayonnaise, pan fried and it's stuffed with mixed greens, arugula, uh tomato mozzarella and a lemon vinaigrette. And this is the, that's our bruschetta appetizer. That's, uh, t toast and a little diced tomato, onion, basil, olive oil looks good. Smells good, Jen. Congratulations on five years here. I mean, what's your favorite part about being in Bloomfield? It's just such an up and coming area. We have so much fun with all of the outdoor activities and all the new apartments opening. It's really, it's, we're so, we're so blessed to be here and we're so happy and thank God for the Bloomfield Center Alliance. They've helped us so much since we opened in April 2019. I don't do them but they can't do the Thank you News 12 for coming and spotlighting our Bloomfield Center Restaurant week and all of our great restaurants. Uh We've enjoyed having you.
