Mother Cabrini Health foundation is giving nearly $1 million to Part of the Solution, also known at POTS, in Bedford Park.
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation is the largest grantmaking organization focused exclusively on advancing the health and well-being of New Yorkers.
It announced Tuesday that it awarded 539 grants, totaling $208 million, to support nonprofit organizations and initiatives to meet community health needs and achieve equitable health outcomes across New York.
Christina Hanson is the executive director at POTS and said in 2024, they prevented 310 evictions.
“So that’s 310 families who weren’t homeless,” Hanson added.
Hanson told News12 the funds will support eviction prevention services and mentor clients so they can break the cycle of poverty.
